The Seed Growing Secretly

And enter the photosynthesis video. I had a lot of fun making this . . . actually let me rephrase that. It was super fun until I watched for the millionth time.

Videos are so much fun! In biology there are a lot of things that either are too costly to do in the classroom or you can't see. I think that videos make science so much easier for people to understand. Well done videos take a really long time to make though. I think I would use it to do photosynthesis, respiration, and probably biospheres. It'd be cool to put together a video showing all the different climates. It would a be a great project to have students pick their own topic and make videos. One of the reasons students get disinterested in science is because they don't get to have a lot of autonomy (the way the system is organized right now) and videos would allow a little more of that.

  1. I'm really impressed with your video. I really liked the animations you used/created. This video is great for visual learners like myself. There were a few things that I felt was distracting. I felt that some of the music choices took away from what you were trying to present. I also felt like parts(mainly the transitions between lines of text) of your presentation were overwhelming/messy. I just seemed like there was to much going on.

    Overall good video!

  2. I loved your animations! They were great! I liked that you showed each step. I also liked the color choices and the music. It made a rather dull (at times) topic interesting and engaging. The only thing I would suggest is the font was small on two different times. Other than that it was great! Amazing video!!! It must have taken you forever to edit!

  3. Wow, that was amazing! Great job with all of those animations. I really liked how you had a color coded key on the right side that coincided with the diagrams on the left. That made it really clear to follow.

I must say I wasn't a huge fan of the music, but having music is definitely necessary.

    This must have taken forever!
